Blended-learning courses with expert training and AHA certification

HeartCode® and Heartsaver® courses use a blended-learning format, giving students extra flexibility as they earn certification. Through online and in-person coursework, students set their own pace to learn CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens* as well as BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

These two-part programs* start with an online course module developed by the American Heart Association. The course uses eSimulation technology and interactive exercises, which help students learn patient assessment and treatment techniques.

Every online course covers the same content as traditional classroom trainings. So students can rest assured they’re receiving consistent and thorough education, no matter which format they choose.

After completing the online course, students demonstrate key concepts and skills in a training session with a CPR Plus instructor. This is a perfect time to ask questions, refine techniques, and reinforce training through hands-on practice.

Once students have passed both parts of the course, we issue an AHA certification card within 24 hours.

*Note: The Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens course is done entirely online.
