Basic Life Support (BLS)

The BLS training course emphasizes the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, as well as roles in the Chain of Survival.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and students studying to enter the field.

Course content includes:

  • adult, child, and infant CPR
  • choking and airway obstruction
  • rescue breathing
  • AED operation

BLS Certification Renewal

Courses for certification renewal are available for current BLS card-holders.


 Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

The ACLS course trains healthcare providers in the high-level skills needed to handle cardiovascular emergency situations.

This course is designed for healthcare workers who direct and/or participate in the management of these complicated emergencies, including personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Course content includes:

  • simulated cardiac emergencies
  • systems of care and immediate post-cardiac arrest care
  • airway management
  • related pharmacology
  • team dynamics and communication

ACLS Certification Renewal

One-day courses for certification renewal are available for current ACLS card-holders.


BabyPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The PALS course focuses on improving the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children and reinforces the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric emergency care.

This course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children, including personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units (e.g., physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need PALS training for job or other requirements).

Course content includes:

  • simulated pediatric emergencies
  • PALS treatment algorithms
  • effective resuscitation
  • team dynamics

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, & Stabilization (PEARS)

The PEARS course prepares healthcare providers and first responders to identify a pediatric victim at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress, intervene early to stabilize the child, and contact the next level of care as soon as possible.

This course is designed for healthcare providers who see critically ill children, as well as any healthcare provider who might encounter pediatric patients.

Course content includes:

  • pediatric assessment
  • respiratory compromise and arrest recognition and management
  • circulatory compromise and arrest recognition and management
  • shock recognition and management
  • resuscitation team concept
  • chain of survival

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

The NRP course, created by the American Academy of Pediatrics, takes an evidence-based approach to neonatal emergency care training. With a focus on effective teamwork for healthcare professionals, NRP uses a blended learning model that includes both web-based and real-world practice.

This course is designed for healthcare providers who care for newborns.

Course content includes:

  • principles and steps of resuscitation
  • volume replacement, CPR, and ETT placement
  • medication administration
  • oxygenation and ventilation
  • UV catheterization
  • stabilization for transfer to NICU
  • resuscitation of babies born pre-term
  • effective team and family communication

NOTE: The NRP class is only available for on-site training to healthcare provider groups or companies.
