The HeartCode® Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) course teaches the correct precautions to take during emergencies that involve contact with blood, bodily fluids, or other potentially infectious materials. During the two-part, OSHA compliant program, students will start with a web-based, self-paced class that uses eSimulation technology to help them assess and treat patients. For the final half of the class, students meet with an instructor to practice and demonstrate skills.
This American Heart Association (AHA) course teaches leading industry standards and is a good option for those seeking an opportunity to learn outside of the traditional classroom.
Once the class is successfully completed, a certification card will be issued within 24 hours or even the same day of the class. The card is valid for two years.
