Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

The on-site Automated External Defibrillator (AED) course is dedicated to helping individuals learn how and when to use an AED often found in public venues such as airports, stadiums, offices, and schools. This industry leading American Heart Association (AHA) training is paired with the Adult CPR course.

CPR Plus delivers convenient in-person training to your office space to accommodate your company’s schedule. We also help individuals who are seeking AED training by offering classes at multiple locations throughout the St. Louis area.

Once the class is successfully completed, a certification card will be issued within 24 hours or even the same day of the class. The card is valid for two years.

The AED CPR Plus course includes the following areas:

  • Adult CPR
  • AED operation
  • Rescue breathing
  • Choking and airway obstruction
  • Recognition and treatment of cardiopulmonary emergencies (e.g., heart attack, stroke)
  • Review of Good Samaritan Law

This training is great for organizations that require OSHA compliance, school, and daycare personnel, coaches, police officers, firefighters, and others who work or volunteer with large groups of people.

CPR Plus offers another unique way to earn an AED certification. AED training is incorporated into the HeartCode® Adult CPR program and is an ideal option for students who want to learn outside of the traditional classroom setting. The two-part, online opportunity gives students the freedom to review material at their own pace.
